This 0.32 carat cushion cut chrome kornerupine from Tanzania shows the unmistakable teal color, a mix of mint green and light blue, that comes from chromium content in the crystal structure. The stone measures 4.2 x 3.5 x 3mm with brilliant light return and slightly included clarity, and it's completely untreated.

Kornerupine is a lesser-known collector's gemstone, and the chrome variety is its most sought-after color. Gem-quality kornerupine is rarely found above 1 carat, and the deposit that produced this material has now been fully depleted, so stones of this quality are getting rarer to find on the open market. Kornerupine's birefringence, meaning it bends light in two slightly different ways as it passes through the crystal, adds to the brilliance you see face up.

WHAT THIS STONE IS USED FOR

In the stone medicine space, kornerupine is known as a stone of spiritual clarity and personal truth. It helps you align with your authentic self and connect to higher levels of understanding, and it bridges the physical and the spiritual, offering grounding while facilitating introspection and insight. The mint green connects to renewal, growth, and the awakening of the heart, while the blue connects to calm, clarity, and the throat chakra, which makes this stone a strong ally for healing emotional wounds, fostering self-compassion, and aligning the heart with universal love.

One advantage of a faceted gemstone over a rough crystal is the culet, the pointed tip at the base of the stone, which acts as a focused energy director, much like the tip of a Vogel Crystal. By pointing the culet directly at the body, you can concentrate and deliver the stone's vibrational frequencies into a specific point instead of letting them radiate outward in all directions. For collectors, this cushion cut chrome kornerupine anchors a rare stone collection, and in fine jewelry it suits a delicate accent or small center stone.

VIBRATIONAL PROFILE

This kornerupine emits the green and blue frequencies, resonating with the heart and throat chakras.

Green Frequency: The mint green in this stone gives it its green frequency component. The green frequency stimulates the pituitary gland, builds muscles and tissues, clears diseased cells, decongests the lungs, and eliminates germs and bacteria. It is the safest and most balanced clearing frequency in the vibrational spectrum, cleansing, detoxifying, and dissolving detrimental vibrations from the energy field. Salt carries a strong green vibration, which explains its long-standing use for purifying and preserving foods, spaces, and materials. Green marks the balance point of the visible light spectrum and the equilibrium of the manifested world.

Blue Frequency: The light blue in this stone gives it its blue frequency component. The blue frequency is effective for reducing fever, inflammation, pain, and infection, stopping bleeding, and building flexibility in the body. Enel recognized blue as a regenerator of the nervous system and used it for patients with high blood pressure, arthritis, and neuralgia. Energetically, blue is cooling, contracting, and sedative, restoring deep yin reserves and building vitality rather than stimulating yang energy. Rudolf Steiner associated blue with the Chemical Ether, the stage where the internal energetic blueprint is established before it materializes into physical form. Wilhelm Reich also observed that orgone energy glows blue in a vacuum.

Together, the green and blue frequencies pair renewal and emotional healing with calm and clarity, which is what gives chrome kornerupine its balanced, harmonizing character.

FAQ

JEWELRY

Are the stones and materials you use natural?

Yes! All of the stones we use are high-grade, premium, and 100% natural just as Gaia made them. They are not treated in any way (heat, irradiation, dye, stabilized, etc.) because some treatments alter the vibrational nature of the stone and can be detrimental to the energy field of the wearer. We use either 100% linen or silk thread for our beaded necklaces as they are highly conductive, helping the energy travel powerfully through the piece.

Do pieces come in other sizes or stone combinations?

Each piece made is unique and not made to order. Therefore, this piece cannot be altered and does not come in other sizes or stone combinations. However, if you like this piece and want it longer, made with different stones, or altered in any way, please reach out to request a custom order via the Contact page.

Who made the pieces in your store?

Each piece is handcrafted with intention and love by founder Ashley Sohl. She hand-picks every stone and component that is used, and handmakes each piece with care and attention. We do not believe in mass produced, cookie-cutter jewelry. Sanctuary Vibrational Jewelry makes unique stone ally adornments for inner journeys and personal transformation.

How do you know the vibration of the stones?

The vibrational qualities are painstakingly tested by Ashley using a comibination of ancient and modern vibrational scientific techniques from different schools of thought, including BioGeometry, physical Radiesthesia, New Homeopathy, and more.

Do you use real gold?

Yes! We use solid 14k gold. We recently started offering gold-filled as an option to make pieces accessible to more people. If gold-filled doesn't show up as an option, please contact me to request a custom.

I want a piece that is sold out. What should I do?

Every piece I make is a genuine one of a kind. If you see a piece you like, but is sold out, you can request a custom order to have me make another one. But please be aware that some stones are very rare and I may not be able to source the exact same stones. Use the contact page to send me a message and we can discuss from there.

GEMSTONES & SPECIMENS

I want a gemstone or specimen that is sold out. What should I do?

Each gemstone and specimen in our shop has been hand selected and may be the only one we could acquire. If you see a piece you like, but is sold out, we offer custom sourcing for gemstones, specimens, and rough stones. Please see our Services page to get started.

Do your gemstones come with a certificate of authenticity?

As of the time of this writing, most of our gemstones do not come with a certificate of authenticity. However, we do offer a GIA certificate as an add-on for most gemstones and cabochons. Please note that only certain stones qualify for an identification + origin report (as opposed to just identification). Rough material or specimens are subject to GIA's ability to grade them. If you have questions about certification, please contact us directly.

Are your stones sourced responsibly?

Yes! We have a network of reputable, honest wholesalers, artisinal miners, dealers, and small businesses that align with our core values of fairness and fair trade, equity, transparency, and doing no harm to people and environment. All of our stones are sourced ethically and responsibly.

I'm looking for a specific stone. Can you help me acquire it?

Yes! We offer custom private sourcing for gemstones, specimens, and rough material, however, our specialty is rare, collector-grade stones, and rare combination stones and specimens. As a GIA alumni and having been in the trade for many years, our founder has a network of dedicated, passionate rockhounds, gemologists, gem dealers, artisinal miners, and wholesalers around the world. She also has direct legal access to the emerald mines in Pakistan and Afghanistan where the world's top emeralds come from. Please see our Services page for more information about our custom private sourcing services.
